Hello Tumblr! I am in desperate need of money, so I am opening commissions.
I feel bad having to go on about my situation. I don’t mean to incite pity, but perhaps it’s necessary when it’s this dire. My family is about to lose our home that we’ve had for around 30 years. My mom has been trying to find a stable job for 2 years now, but job prospects are really bad for a middle-aged, non-college-educated Asian single mother and she has been scammed twice out of thousands trying to find work. Because of her pride, she won’t allow us to apply for government aid. My sister is unable to hold a job due to heroin addiction and kleptomania getting her in trouble, and her addict boyfriend lost his job as well. As for me, although I have not been medically certified since we don’t have the money to see a psychiatrist, it’s damn obvious I suffer from crippling untreated depression and anxiety (and have been for over a decade). Forget about holding down a “normal” job in my current state… It is hard enough for me to get through a day plagued by thoughts of self-loathing and suicide without hurting myself. I also want to transition, which requires money, too, and the longer I wait, the less effect T will have.
In short: my family needs money for housing and much-needed medical treatment but we have almost none.
Basically all of us are in a big massive heap of shit with virtually no way out. My art is literally the only marketable skill shared among the 5 of us living in this home. I hope that you will see a style and price you like and will be willing to commission work from me.
